School residencies provide a complementary service that contributes effectively to educational development, since they facilitate access to post-compulsory education for

students who must attend school in locations other than their habitual residence, as well as those ones who, due to exceptional circumstances, must use the residency service

as a measure to ensure an adequate educational response which is not available in a teaching center of their habitual residence.
