LA FORMACIÓN INICIAL Y PERMANENTE DE LOS INSPECTORES DE EDUCACIÓN EN ESPAÑA: ESTUDIO COMPARADO

Abstract

The initial or access training of education inspectors in Spain is regulated in the point 5 of the tenth additional provision of the LOE. Specifically, to access the Corps of Education Inspectors it is necessary to belong to one of the corps that makes up the teaching public function with at least eight years of experience and to be in possession of the title of Doctorate, Master ́s Degree, Bachelor ́s Degree, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent title and pass the corresponding selection process, as well as, where appropriate, prove knowledge of the co-official language of the Autonomous Community of destination, in accordance with its regulations. On the other hand, permanent training constitutes a right and an obligation of all teachers, including education inspectors, and a responsibility of the educational administrations and the centers themselves, as established in article 102.1 of the same law. Throughout this article, an approach is made to the initial and permanent training of education inspectors, analyzing the similarities and differences that are set out around a comparative study of the organization and operation standards of the education inspection of each territory.
