Abstract
The 25th International Meeting of Education Inspectors, held in Lleida from October 1 to 3, 2025, brought together around 300 education inspection professionals from Spain and other European countries. Under the slogan “Technological and social changes in education and their impact on the role of inspectors,” the conference combined keynote speeches, panel discussions, presentations, and cultural activities in iconic venues such as the Seu Vella and the Llotja.
The meeting provided an opportunity to analyze the role of educational inspection in the face of digitization and social transformation processes, reflecting on the ethical, organizational, and professional challenges they entail. Through the interventions of experts, authorities, and institutional representatives, the need to strengthen continuing education, support for schools, applied research, and networking within the inspection community was highlighted.
This report covers the most significant moments of the event and summarizes the main conclusions shared by Eva Fernández, Education Inspector and Director of the USIE State School of Educational Inspection, and León Bendayan, Education Inspector, who emphasize the commitment of educational inspection to quality, continuous improvement, and the sustainability of the educational system in a context of unprecedented technological and social transformation.
